Admit Mistakes on Climate Change Report

A Dutch environmental agency, Monday (07/05/2010), criticized the number of errors in the climate change report by the UN body formation. They urged that the report was more cautious. Nevertheless, the general conclusions that climate change caused by human behavior and threaten the survival of millions of human beings has not changed.

Maarten Hajer from the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency said, "It's similar to puzzle pieces that need to be adjusted to each other so that the mistakes did not ruin the whole construction." A number of errors found in the report of the Inter-expert Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has made a number of countries to question all the truths associated with climate change issues.

The agency claimed responsibility on information that 55 percent of the Dutch region is lower than sea level, when in fact only 26 per cent. Initial reports say, global warming will cause 75 million-250 million Africans at risk of water shortage in 10 years. The correct number between 90 million-220 million.

The discovery of a number of mistakes that led to a number of countries doubt the truth about climate change. Eventually formed an independent team to oversee the work processes of scientists in the IPCC, among others, on how to get the data and process it. The agency urged that copied data from developing countries.
